Not only that, but their breasts will continue to get smaller with each subsequent pregnancy. Even though these changes also occur when women breast-feed, they occur even when women choose not to. If your bladder sphincter muscle valve, which is positioned at the bottom of the bladder, becomes weakened by too much constant pressure by the baby during pregnancy, stress incontinence will result. Stress incontinence is the uncontrollable loss of urine, and can also be caused by an overactive bladder, which is when the bladder has involuntary spasms. During pregnancy, some women may experience mild or strong incontinence.

 

After childbirth, incontinence may either disappear or continue. A bout of incontinence may be exposed by situations like coughing, sneezing, or laughing. According to WebMD, other women may not experience incontinence until they reach their 40s. Other things that can contribute to incontinence are: damage to the nerves controlling the bladder, if the urethra and bladder moves during pregnancy, and if the woman undergoes an episiotomy, which is an incision made on the pelvic floor to make child birth easier.

With diet and exercise, it is reasonable for a new mother to assume that she will return to her pre-pregnancy weight. But, what many women find is that her body may have something else in mind.
